Splinter Bikes

The Splinter is a unique ‘e-fatbike’ (electric bicycle) that looks like nothing else on the road. Hand made locally near Amsterdam from FSC sourced wood the bikes command a striking presence amongst a sea of ‘wheels-of-steel’.

The name Splinter obviously references the wooden composition and speaks to a design that demands attention, angular and unmistakably contemporary, appealing both to young and old.

Aside from the sustainable nature of the materiality and energy source there is a commitment to socially responsible local production.

The outspoken nature of the bike appeals to the ‘outsider’, the person who dares to be different and is comfortable breaking away from the norm.

The identity gets to the point and celebrates the edges. Forthcoming imagery will highlight an individualism and diversity befitting of the ‘outsider’ brand personality.
